Kindersley’s history

Collection

Kindersley was incorporated in 1910 and took its name from Sir Robert Kindersley, who served as Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company from 1915 to 1925 and was a major shareholder in the Canadian Northern Railway. The railway made the community a divisional point on its line between Saskatoon and Calgary. Canadian Northern was later nationalized and folded into Canadian National Railways in 1918.
